Which Mew cards you'll find here

Mew has a long run of Japanese promos, and the oldest listings here are Old Back cards: the Mew promo for the Southern Island movie release (PMCG-P), Shining Mew from the neo-P promo series and a late revised Ancient Mew promo from Pokemon the Movie: The Birth of Lugia. A later Ancient Mew promo (SM-P) came with the Mewtwo Strikes Back EVOLUTION movie pamphlet. Other older listings include Mew from the Lost Link strength pack (LL), a 1st Edition Mew EX from the Shiny Collection concept pack (SC) and 1st Edition Mew prints from the Phantom Legend Dream Kira Collection concept pack (CP5).

Sun & Moon listings include Shining Mew from Shining Legends (SM3+) and Mewtwo & Mew GX from Miracle Twin (SM11) and Tag All Stars (SM12a); the tag team cards also appear on the Mewtwo cards page. Sword & Shield brings Mew V and Mew VMAX from Fusion Arts (S8), including a Special Art Mew VMAX, Mew from the 25th Anniversary Collection (s8a) and Mew VMAX from VSTAR Universe (s12a). Scarlet & Violet adds Mew ex from Pokemon Card 151 (SV2a) and the Mew ex SAR from Shiny Treasure ex (SV4a).

The range runs from high-end Old Back promos and 1st Edition prints to entry-level Sword & Shield cards such as Mew V RR and Mew VMAX RRR. Prices are shown on each product page.

How to read a listing

Most titles follow one pattern: PSA10, the card name, the rarity, then the set code and card number in brackets and the set name in parentheses, as in PSA10 Mew VMAX HR: SA [S8 119/100] (Expansion Pack "Fusion Arts"). Rarities you will see here include RR (Double Rare), RRR (Triple Rare), SR (Super Rare), HR (Hyper Rare), UR (Ultra Rare) and SAR (Special Art Rare); SA marks a Special Art version, P or PROMO a promo and 1ED a 1st Edition print. English prints are marked too, as in the Paldean Fates Mew ex (PAF EN 232/091). Old Back titles show No. and the Pokedex number, No.151 for Mew, in place of a card number. PSA 10 is the Gem Mint grade from PSA, and each slab label carries a certification number. Sold-out cards stay visible at the end of the grid.

FAQ

What is an Old Back Mew?

Old Back is the term for early Japanese cards printed with the original card back design. Mew listings here include Old Back promos such as the Southern Island movie Mew and Shining Mew from the neo-P series. These titles use No. and the Pokedex number, No.151, in place of a set number, as in PSA10 Mew : Old Back [PMCG-P No.151].

What does SAR mean on a Mew listing?

SAR stands for Special Art Rare, a rarity used in Scarlet and Violet and Mega Evolution era sets. It appears in titles such as PSA10 Mew ex SAR [SV4a 347/190] from Shiny Treasure ex. English prints use their own labels: the Paldean Fates Mew ex on this page is marked SIR and shows EN in its code, as in PAF EN 232/091.

Are Japanese Mew cards different from the English versions?

Japanese cards carry Japanese text and use Japanese set codes and card numbers. In the 30th CELEBRATION set, for example, Mew ex 135/103 in Japanese is 158/128 in English, as our comparison guide shows. Our set code guide also notes that Shiny Treasure ex (SV4a) became the English Paldean Fates set.

Do you sell ungraded Mew cards?

Most listings on this page are PSA 10 graded. Ungraded single cards are sold only when they are listed in our store, and sealed Japanese boxes are listed under Pokemon card boxes. As a rule, we sell only what is listed: if a Mew card is not on our site, we do not have it and cannot find or order it for you.
