Which Gengar cards you'll find here

The oldest listing is Sabrina's Gengar, an Old Back card from Challenge from the Darkness (Gym Expansion 2), followed by a 1st Edition Gengar from Illusionary Forest (PCG5). XY-era listings include Gengar EX and M Gengar EX from Phantom Gate (XY4) in RR, SR, UR and 1st Edition prints, the M Gengar EX promo (XY-P 079) from the White Mega Gengar campaign, Gengar EX from the EX x M x BREAK pack (CP4) and a Gengar from the Pokemon Card Game Starter Pack (XY-20th).

Sun & Moon brings Gengar & Mimikyu GX from Tag Bolt (SM9), including the Special Art SR and the HR, and a Gengar from Double Blaze (SM10); the tag team cards also appear on the Mimikyu cards page. From Sword & Shield comes the Japanese Gengar VMAX deck (SGG), with Gengar V, Gengar VMAX and the Special Art Gengar VMAX (SGG 020/019). Scarlet & Violet adds a Master Ball Mirror Gengar from Pokemon Card 151 (SV2a) and Gengar ex from Wild Force (SV5K). The Mega Evolution era, which began in 2025, adds MEGA Gengar ex from the Starter Set MEGA (MBG) and a Mega Attack Rare (MA) MEGA Gengar ex from MEGA Dream ex (M2a).

High-end listings include the Old Back card, 1st Edition prints and XY-era SR and UR cards, while RR cards and MEGA Gengar ex prints make up the entry-level end. Prices are shown on each product page.

How to read a listing

Most titles follow one pattern: PSA10, the card name, the rarity, then the set code and card number in brackets and the set name in parentheses, as in PSA10 Gengar EX SR [XY4 090/088] (Expansion Pack "Phantom Gate"). Rarities you will see here include R (Rare), RR (Double Rare), SR (Super Rare), HR (Hyper Rare), UR (Ultra Rare) and, on MEGA era cards, MA (Mega Attack Rare); Master Ball Mirror is written out in full where it applies. SA marks a Special Art version, P or PROMO a promo and 1ED a 1st Edition print. Chinese-language prints, where listed, are marked [CN] in the title. Old Back titles show No. and the Pokedex number, No.094 for Gengar, in place of a card number. PSA 10 is the Gem Mint grade from PSA, and each slab label carries a certification number. Sold-out cards stay visible at the end of the grid.

FAQ

What do Master Ball Mirror and MA mean on a Gengar listing?

They are different labels. Master Ball Mirror is written out in the title of the Gengar from Pokemon Card 151 (SV2a 094/165) and marks a mirror foil version with a Master Ball pattern. MA stands for Mega Attack Rare, a MEGA era rarity showing a Mega Evolution Pokemon using an attack, as in MEGA Gengar ex MA [M2a 230/193] from MEGA Dream ex.

What is the difference between M Gengar EX and MEGA Gengar ex?

They come from different eras. M Gengar EX is the XY-era Mega Evolution card, listed here from Phantom Gate (XY4) and as the White Mega Gengar campaign promo (XY-P 079). MEGA Gengar ex belongs to the Mega Evolution era that began in 2025, with listings from the Starter Set MEGA (MBG) and MEGA Dream ex (M2a).

Do you sell ungraded Gengar cards?

Most listings on this page are PSA 10 graded. Ungraded single cards are sold only when they are listed in our store, and sealed Japanese boxes are listed under Pokemon card boxes. As a rule, we sell only what is listed: if a Gengar card is not on our site, we do not have it and cannot find or order it for you.

How is a PSA 10 Gengar card shipped?

It ships from Tokyo by FedEx, using International Connect Plus or International Priority, with a tracking number you can check from your account once the order is dispatched. Delivery dates shown by FedEx are estimates, not promises. Import duties and taxes are charged by the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility for most destinations; US orders ship DDP with duties collected at checkout. See customs duties and import taxes for details.
